Teen Fashion Shoot with Ally

June has been a busy month so far and while almost all our edits are done, we are working to catch up with sharing session previews to social media.  Here is a quick look from a recent Teen Fashion session with Ally.

We really enjoyed working with young lady creating amazing images.  We are positive she will enjoy sharing these with family and friends.  I wonder which one image from the session will be her favorite to convert into Wall Art for decorating their home?  Stay tuned and we will update you after the reveal appointment!

These are a few of our favorites from the day.

Alfred Angelo - Are You Missing Me Yet?

I was going through some old videos looking for some BTS of a wedding for one of my sponsors and WOW! - I found some videos on my other channel of the great Girls' Night Out hosted by Alfred Angelo in Oklahoma City.

These events were hosted once a quarter with local wedding vendors while brides came it to try on dresses, check out accessories, or browse through the endless selections of bridesmaid's gowns.

After looking at the videos and images I can't help but wonder - Does Alfred Angelo miss me?  Maybe you don't, but I sure do miss the great times and wonder where all the people and what are they doing.

If you attended these vendors parties, please comment below with an update. And if you are a current staff of the location in Oklahoma City - Call me, let's do lunch... I miss you!

The New Green Way for Weddings

The New Green Way for Weddings

We recently attended a bridal show in Elk City, Oklahoma.  The vendors were so friendly, caring and had a sense of purpose in their business.  While many of them will quickly become more friends than vendors to us, I wanted to point out a unique entrepreneur we met during our visit.  Here name is Mechelle from Aloha Gardens, a flower nursery, and greenhouse.

Mechelle is offering a very special service to couples looking for an eco-friendly, cost effective method for decorating a wedding with lush greenery, plants, and succulents.  I'm actually surprised that this idea of a "green wedding" isn't more mainstream with current brides.

Plant leasing is a new option for wedding decorating. It’s a new way to be green. It’s affordable and easy; Aloha sets up & returns the plants. Mechelle offers free quotes for plant leasing options. You can also option to buy the plants after the event or gift to bridesmaids or other members of your party to remember your special wedding.  They also offer an array of rustic props for decorations to add with plants, flowers, and succulents.

Aloha Gardens is located on 2813 West 3rd Street in Elk City, Oklahoma 73644. Please call 580-243-7214 for more information.

The Most Experienced Wedding Photographer in Oklahoma - Maybe the World!

This is not a title to be taken lightly, in fact, I’m honored to have the most experience and all my fellow photographers agree with this claim. This helps me pass along some great information to grooms - and the bride - that could elevate your day from great to incredible.  This post will touch on the groom’s responsibilities because after so many weddings, I’m getting tired of the joke regarding the importance of his part during the wedding planning.  Traditionally, the groom’s duties are varied and specific when it comes to wedding planning and the day’s events.  These range from selecting the engagement ring, arranging reception toasts to carry the bride across the threshold.  While many of these have been modernized with the changing times, there are a few that the groom needs to step up to take ownership.  I hope you are viewing the relationship with that significant other as a partnership versus the standard “ball & chain” analogy.  Be involved in the planning stages of this public display of affection and be more than just another party decoration at the reception.  Grooms matter on the wedding day.
