The FotoFacts Twins, Rob & Jim, are taking an unusual PhotoWalk to Fort Worth, Texas on Sunday morning after PhotoCon.  This is a great way to end your weekend of inspiration, education and incredible trade show.

We will meet at the newly remodeled Santa Fe Depot station in Oklahoma City at 8:00 am to grab the Heartland Flyer to Fort Worth, Texas.  If you wish to join us from another city, the train stops in Norman, Purcell, Pauls Valley, Ardmore, and Gainesville.

While on the train, we will be pushing out a LIVE FotoFacts episode to recap Bedford PhotoCon, answer photography questions and discuss current issues.  We are hoping to get permission from Amtrak to have an impromptu hands-on camera control class.  Because of baggage restrictions, this class will focus on what you can bring on board the train.  It will be geared towards solving lighting and exposure issues on a moving subject without backup support systems.  We are looking forward to seeing what selection of equipment shooters choose to carry.

We arrive in Fort Worth at 12:30 pm to be greeted by our Texas host, Xavier & Patrice from Photos on the Vine - the ultimate place for education and studio rental in the area.  This dynamic duo will be bringing Interfit Photographic lighting, XP PhotoGear modifiers, and Vanguard USA tripods for our group to use during the visit.

During our day escape from Oklahoma, we will “work” a small area of this famous downtown.  The city blocks surrounding the train station are filled with the hidden alleyways, tall buildings, wonderful architecture, and urban life.  We will focus on the stunning Water Gardens, St. Patrick Cathedral, and Convention Center.  Armed with equipment from our support staff, you will sure to create wonderful images to build your portfolio.

The train leaves promptly at 5:25 pm for the return back to Oklahoma City by 9:27 pm.  This will get you another chance to socialize and recoup from the day’s activities.  Don’t forget, this can be an incredible time to capture some onboard portraits of fellow photographers while enjoying no driving back to the city.

IF you are riding the train from OKC to Fort Worth - Be sure to purchase your tickets ahead of time!  Cost and details of the Heartland Flyer are available on Amtrak.com.  Choose UPPER LEVEL when booking your ticket!
